This property was almost exactly what we expected. Clean, nice, spacious, beautiful. Only problem was that we didn't realize that the two queen beds were in the loft, and didn't have a their own door. So these beds did not have any privacy. This was somehting I would have liked to know, considering we had couples in those beds. Also, there weren't many supplied around the house, we needed some additional toilet paper and couldn't find any. Overall, though, the hot tub was awesome and the house was very well maintained. No big complaints at all. Would recommend to a friend!

We had a great time, and the cabin was very nice, however...

Listing this cabin as ski in/ski out is a stretch. It was 2 blocks to the slopes; not just steps away as described in the listing. We ended up shuttling people back and forth. Ski in/ski out was the #1 thing we were looking for, and we were very disappointed upon arrival to find that the cabin was actually a couple blocks from the lift taking you to the slopes.

The very unfortunate problem was a neighbor allowed her dog to defecate around our hot tub and back porch area. This needs to be addressed among the owners. Also a little far from ski in and out.

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. The kids could ski in/ ski out on their own, that's why we love Sol Vista. The cabin in beautiful and clean, the private hot tub is wonderful after a day of skiing. We will be back.

We had an issue with parking. Although, we were parking directly in front on the single car garage for our house, the occupants of the house next door knocked on our door two mornings to ask us to move. Their garage/drive was perpendicular to ours. It wasn't a problem for us but the attitude we received wasn't what you want while on vacation. The house sleeps tweleve but I guess you must all arrive in one vehicle and park inside the garage.

Disappointed that we found not-quite dry sheets in the dryer and wet laundry in the washing machine. How long had it been there? (We re-washed it all) A line-up of cleaning supplies along the laundry room wall not appealing.
Kids very disappointed that the TV in the basement was BROKEN and movies had to be watched in the living room (disappointing to adults also.)
Great hot tub. Great abundance of soft, clean, fluffy towels. Lots of games in the hall closet. Nice dishes & glassware-lots of nice silverware in kitchen. Great electric appliances-griddle, skillet, slow-cooker. Surprised to find no extra toilet tissue and no shower or kitchen soap. Had to go to the the store first thing. They should inform people ahead of time to bring their own.
A little false advertising that the house was ski-in/ski-out. Had to walk to the slope to catch a lift that closed at 3:30 PM. The heated ski room off the porch with a bench and coat hooks was really nice!!

Suggest that the owner close in the loft area with a wall & door to make the bedroom up there private and more sound-proof. When those in the loft wanted to sleep the rest of the guests needed to be quiet as sound rises.
All-in-all, we had a great family vacation and would recommend the house to others but suggest they better inform their guests on the ski-in/out and what supplies to bring along.

The finished basement is so great for the kids, complete with game table and foosball. The location is great, just a short walk to Kicking Horse lift, and we were able to ski in. We will be back.

Something helpful as an out of town guest would be to include in the guest book nearest grocery store, take out, ski lift information, and other fun things to do that we found on our own but is always nice to read about. Also please state where the fuse box is in case of a blown fuse. It was very hard to pack all our stuff in the one bedroom in the dark with flashlights.

When we originally booked I assumed that "ski in" meant that Sol Vista would be open for the season and was very disappointed to find out it was not. I would make that more clear in the future. The hot tub was very clean and enjoyable. I was surprised the homes are so close together based upon the picture provided. The shared toilet on the main level continually backed up, which was disappointing. Otherwise, everyone had a very relaxing and enjoyable time.

The home was beautiful and well maintained. As I shared with Annie, the keys to the mud room did not work. I also wanted to share a small detail-- non of the knives in the butcher block cut, and no basket as stated in the laundry room for the sheets. the house was awesome! we loved it and the hot tub was great amenity! HOWEVER this house is marketed as a SKI IN SKI OUT which was our #1 reason for getting it and it was not a ski in ski out - no way can you ever ski into the property - there is a lift that is quite a walk away and then you could prob ski down to that BUT it was all under construction and not working. I was very disappointed in the SKI IN SKI OUT that we were expecting..... again the house was great - we loved it and it was very nice and clean and if it were ski in ski out i'd def. stay there again!
